"Because it was so hard and I did it on my own I learned I can do it anywhere. I am not afraid of leaving if I had to now because I know I can do it."

"A highlight was building the community within CSUCI. At Oxnard College I was just a commuter, I would just go to class. At CSUCI, I started working as a peer mentor, and I started building networks with people who are on the same boat as me."

"I’m glad I chose CI. I don’t think I would have been afforded the same opportunities that I had at CI if I would have gone somewhere else, especially because CI is a Hispanic Serving Institution."

"It's {CSUCI} a really empowering community with really empowering people with the goal of just bettering ourselves and our communities. I’m so thankful for CI, it just showed me the person that I always wanted myself to be."

Refer a Student to a Peer Mentor

PEEP Peer Mentors help guide and support students at CSUCI. Whether it is one-on-one peer mentoring, an academic success workshop, or small group mentoring, a peer mentor can provide students with tools and resources to make them even more prepared to succeed.
